On January 23, 2020, on the 29th day of the lunar calendar, Wuhan City decided to build a Huoshenshan Hospital with a capacity of 1,000 beds on the banks of Zhiyin Lake in Caidian. The leading unit of the project is China Construction Third Bureau Group Co., Ltd. headquartered in Wuhan. The chief commander of the project construction is Chen Weiguo, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of China Construction Third Bureau, who has just taken office for one month.

Lack of people, lack of things, lack of time, how to chew “hard bones” in 10 days?

International project manager transformed into a temperature measurer. How to open up the second battlefield urgently?
Just when the Huoshenshan construction site had just leveled the site, on the afternoon of January 25, Wuhan City decided to build another Leishenshan Hospital in addition to Huoshenshan Hospital within half a month, with an overall scale of more than two Huoshenshan Hospitals. During the suspension of production and operation during the Spring Festival, the only remaining human-machine materials were put into construction of Huoshenshan Hospital. It is even more difficult to open up a second battlefield.

We asked China Construction Corporation for help and asked branches across the country to rush for emergency assistance. Afterwards, hundreds of management teams and thousands of people came, and the workers in Leishenshan increased from more than 10,000 to more than 20,000.
Additional adjustments were required before the work was completed. How to do more than two days of work in one night?
On January 31, due to the highest protection level, Huoshenshan Hospital proposed that the design of the three zones and two channels that had been built must be adjusted. The construction team that is about to be completed has ushered in the most difficult time again.
Chen Weiguo: We had reached the limit of our physical and psychological at that time. We had not slept for several days and nights, so we tried our best to hand it over. Suddenly, this adjustment came, like the last straw pressing the team to the brink of collapse. The workload of this adjustment was quite large. Generally speaking, it took about two days, but we only had one night. All our managers were staring at it, and all the manpower was concentrated on it. If it was not enough, we asked for reinforcements from other provinces.
