Jinggangshan, located at the junction of Hunan and Jiangxi Provinces, is known as the “cradle of the Chinese revolution”. There are 100 well-preserved revolutionary sites ruins so far. More than 20 of them were listed as national key cultural relics protection units, becoming a classroom for red holy places and revolutionary traditional education.
The Chishui River rushes between the Wumeng Mountains and the Dalou Mountains, recording a battle of the Red Army that has been recorded in history – the Battle of the Four Crossings of the Chishui River. After liberation, the local government erected monuments at each ferry, commemorating the heroic achievements of the Red Army with inscriptions for future generations to admire. The faces on the tombstones, filled with youthful atmosphere, have become synonyms for interpreting loyalty, blood and dedication; the inscriptions carved in blood are not only a high affirmation of the short life of our ancestors, but also the best spiritual baptism for future generations. There are similar martyrs’ cemeteries in Pingbian, Hekou, Maguan, and Jinping, Yunnan. They are like monuments standing on the border highlands. While igniting people’s spiritual sky, they also make everyone understand that the hard-earned life of a happy life.
On the outskirts of Malipo County, Yunnan, there is a military theme park called “Laoshan God Cannon” which not only contains the original battlefield sites such as trenches, bunkers, tunnels, etc., but also displays artillery shells, mines, tanks, large guns, guns and other weapons and equipment used in wartime.
